Express yourself, don't repress yourself.

This is just my journal. Sometimes it's a place to rant, sometimes it's a place to just talk about how things are going for me.

The Universe... why don't people want it?

The universe is amazing. Most people don't realize how beautiful things are out there. They think those images on star trek are fake... that things aren't that amazing. It's so sad.
Here's a website that has amazing images of our universe. people really should go check it out, see what they're missing...... before it's too late.

Many of these images were taken by the hubble space telescope... but soon that will never happen again.
Bush decided that it would be better to destroy this amazing gift than to let astronauts do what they live for and fix it... something they've done before, something that's their expertise.
It's like someone telling you they have to shoot a horse because it bowed a tendon, and you're a vet who can fix it. People who don't know what they're doing...
It's sad. It never ceases to awe me when I see my desktop image filled with a nebula, light years away.
But progress and change is bad... let's go back to the good old days... when fathers could beat their children without reprimand, where little kids had to work in factories while giant trusts stole their money, when women could be raped and have no way to say anything, where people were sterilized for any reason the courts wanted.... where poisons were let loose in the environment... where animals were hunted to extinction.
Oh yes, those were the good old days.

Why can't the good old days be the ones where we solve world hunger, because someone invented the replicator...
